This safari allows you to witness the very best of Tanzania. You will revel in all the wildlife viewing opportunities on the vast plains of the Serengeti, and on the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater. The reality of this Tanzanian wildlife adventure is simply awe-inspiring. Unwind on Zanzibar's languid beaches by the warm Indian Ocean at the end of the safari for a truly memorable ending.

Day 1:  U.S.A

Leave U.S for overnight transatlantic flight to Europe (London or Amsterdam)

Day 2: Arrive Kilimanjaro / Arusha

Arrive in Europe and connect with your flight to Arusha, Tanzania. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your lodge in Arusha.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro crater is our next destination. After breakfast this morning, we travel to Ngorongoro Crater, where our lodge sits dramatically on the rim of the crater, revealing an awesome panorama of the world’s largest, unfolded and intact caldera. This magnificent natural amphitheatre is said to have the largest concentration of animals in all of Africa, including a high density of lions and thousands of flamingos. The ever-changing mood of this great amphitheatre will hold our attention every second of the day.

Day 4:  Oldupai George/Ngorongoro Crater

Depart after breakfast to Ngorongoro Crater via the fascinating Oldupai Gorge, famous for the treasure-trove discovery of both human and animal fossils dating 1.7 million years ago which provided some of the first clues to human life, a talk will be given on palaentogical digs, which have taken place.

And we will stand on the very ground where these early human walked and lived. We return and descend through the mists 2,000 feet to the crater floor for a full day of game viewing in what has been called the world's largest zoo without bars, contained in a natural amphitheater. We will have a private picnic lunch in the floor of the crater. Enjoy game viewing among the Crater's lion, elephant, cheetah, wildebeest, zebra and rare black rhino.

Day 5: Ngorongoro/Serengeti

This morning after breakfast we board our schedule flight to Tanzania’s most famous park, the Serengeti, it’s undoubtedly the best – known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. With more than one and half million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of Thomson’s gazelle and zebra, it has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. The wildebeest and zebra moreover form the star cast of a unique spectacular- the annual Serengeti/Mara migration. After settling into your tented camp, an afternoon game drive awaits. The expansive vistas of the Serengeti are a breathtaking sight.

Day 6: Serengeti

Today we get a closer look at the Serengeti during two extensive game runs.

The sheer size and expanse of the plains spread out around you is awesome and the number of animals as far as the eye can see is simply amazing. The Serengeti is perhaps most famous for the annual migration, but game viewing here is superb year round. Plains game, big cats and hundreds of bird species are all here.

Day 7: Arusha/Zanzibar

This morning's pre-breakfast game drive is your final opportunity to bask in the unmatched grandeur of the African safari lands before flying to Arusha where we connect our flight to the spice Island of Zanzibar. Situated in the northern Tanzania and surrounded by the Tranquil Indian Ocean, this tropical Island is the perfect conclusion to any safari.

Day 8-9: Zanzibar

Enjoy two days at leisure. Unique wildlife species are found on the island of Zanzibar. You might want to take an optional tour to the enchanting Jozani Forest in search of the distinct Kirk’s red colobus monkeys, one of the rarest primates in Africa. The forest is mesmerizing - you will feel yourself absorbed into another world, a place like no other on earth. Zanzibar is known as the “Spice Island” and the smell of cloves, the gold of Zanzibar, the world's finest and most desired spice, grown here in the very center of the Spice Island.

Day 10: Zanzibar/Kilimanjaro/Departure or Extension

There is time to relax in the luxury of your hotel or lose yourself in the lapping of the wave as they meet the pristine sands. Today’s brings farewell to the Island and return to Arusha and connect our flight to US via Europe (London or Amsterdam)

Day 11: U.S.

Arrive home today to share fond memories with family and friends.
