Day 1/2: US / Europe / Nairobi.
We take our flight to Europe and connect with our flight to Africa. Jambo! Welcome to Africa! You will be met on arrival by your SAS professional Safari guide who will accompany you throughout your safari.

Day 3: Nairobi-Tsavo
After breakfast this morning we overland to Tsavo- big game country. Tsavo is divided into Tsavo-East and Tsavo-West. The entire park is over 10 million acres of untouched wilderness and comprises habitats such as wide-open savannahs, riverine forests and life-giving spring. Dennis Finch Hatton was one of the great adventure African bush in luxury style. Dining with fine crystal and china was standard on his safaris, and those traditions are carried on today at the camp.

Day 4: Tsavo
Tsavo is known for it’s red elephant. Their skin are have been tainted by the ochre red dust and mud found in Tsavo, giving it reddish tint. Game includes: cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, eland, zebra, plains game, crocodile and small mammals including mongoose, hyrax and the nocturnal porcupine and more- along with more than 300 species of birdlife.
Mzima Springs is a star attraction, a pool of natural spring water with underwater viewing hides for observing hippos.
Tsavo is famed for its Lions; the 1996 movie "The Ghost and the Darkness" was based on Patterson's adventures in Tsavo about two Lions that terrorised a railway construction crew.

Day 5: Tsavo/Amboseli National Park
Leave early this morning to the stunning Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro.The park may be best known for its herds of elephants and the ground-breaking research begun by Cynthia Moss in the early 70's. Writer Ernest Hemingway also spent a great deal of time in Amboseli and many of his stories of game hunting are based on his time hear. Along with these gentle giants, other plains game such as impala, giraffe, zebra and buffalo as well as predatory lion, leopard and cheetah.

Day 6: Amboseli
Rise early this morning to catch the first views of Mt. Kilimanjaro (if weather permit) as its snow-capped summit peaks out from under the clouds. Amboseli boasts five different wildlife habitats and the wide open flat plains make spotting wildlife a little easier. On game drives you will have the opportunity to observe the behavior of the giant elephants in the area, as well as look for predators such as lion, jackal, cheetah and leopard.

Day 7: Amboseli/Nairobi/Lake Nakuru
After a final early morning safari followed by a hearty breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru. We stop in Nairobi for lunch and then travel along the magnificent Rift Valley toward Lake Nakuru, world known for its vast population of pink flamingos. Savor an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park; admire the flamingos and other abundant birds dancing along the lake's shoreline, also on this game viewing we might reveal rhino, Rothschild giraffe, waterbuck and impala. Watch the treetops for the playful black and white Colobus monkeys and elusive leopard.

Day 8: Lake Nakuru/Maasai Mara
Today drive to the fabled Maasai Mara National Reserve, rich with wildlife, birds, natural flora and stunning scenic beauty. The Maasai Mara is an extension of famous Serengeti ecosystem. It is Kenya’s premier place of seeing wildlife, and home to a thriving population of predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah, as well as plain games such as wildebeest, maasai giraffe, elephant, common zebra, eland, warthog, impala, and buffalo among others. Arrive at your lodge, ideally located in the heart of the Mara. Enjoy a thrilling afternoon game-viewing drive in search of Africa’s big five (leopard, lion, buffalo, rhino and elephant).

Day 9: Maasai Mara
You might want to start the day with an optional balloon safari, floating over the Mara as the animals begin to stir. As you glide above the plains, you have a unique perspective on the game activities below. Bird enthusiasts will thrill at the prospect of spotting some 400 species of birds recorded in the Mara, at least 53 of them are raptors. Morning and afternoon game drives are always exciting in the Maasai Mara, as you never know what you will see! Elephant, impala, lion, topi, spotted hyena, hippo and silverback jackal among others. In between game drives, relax at your comfortable lodge, take a dip in the pool and enjoy the delicious food served.

Day 10: Maasai Mara/Narok/Nairobi/ Departure or Extension
This morning, we’ll take one last look at the Mara. On our way to Nairobi, we’ll stop along the way for a visit to a local Maasai school (Masantare primary school) founded by the local community and fully supported by Sirinket Adventure Safari. We’ll gain enlightening insight into how tribal practices affect the life of girls and women on this memorable visit.
We’ll have lunch at Maasai Township- Narok.
Afternoon we proceed to Nairobi, tonight we celebrate our Africa adventure at a farewell dinner at Carnivore Restaurant famous for its succulent steaks and game meat. Later this evening we proceed to the Airport or connect your optional post trip extensions. As we leave Africa we know in our hearts that the old adage is true; you may leave Africa, but Africa will never leave you.
Day 11: Arrive USA
Arrive in Europe (London or Amsterdam) early this morning and connect to your homeward-bound flight.

What to expect:
As this is an over land trip, a considerable amount of time is spend riding in safari minibus over unpaved roads, and the schedule is strenuous. Participants should be physically fit.
