Make a difference! A specially designed, hands-on tour, focused on giving back to the communities we travel on our tours, highlighted by a 3 day volunteer projects and a visit to Kenya premier’s park, Maasai Mara National Reserve for outstanding game viewing.
Day 1: U.S.A
Leave U.S for overnight transatlantic flight to Europe (London or Amsterdam)
Day 2: Arrive Nairobi, Kenya
Evening arrival in Nairobi, Kenya's vibrant capital. Upon arrival you will be met by your SAS Representative and escort you to your city hotel.

Day 3: City sightseeing- Nairobi
After breakfast this morning, we take full–day tour of the stunning Nairobi, an elevated treetop aerie where we may hand feed rare Rothschild giraffe, quite literally face-to-face. Here a resident expert also presents a private briefing on the centre work to save the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. Our sight – seeing also includes the home of Danish writer Karen von Blixen, who as Isak Dinesen wrote of Out of Africa. Lunch is at your own today. This evening we receive an orientation about our community volunteer program.
Tonight we dine at Carnivore restaurant famous for its succulent steaks and game meat.

Day 4/5: Maasai Community
We Spend 3 days in this rural community, home to the Native Maasai people and work with Nekishon Self help group- supported by Sirinket Foundation. Participate in the daily life of local families. Activities include learning weaving and bead work and visiting the local school, churches and water projects. Volunteers get involved by helping at a local medical clinic and visit home for orphan children supported by Sirinket Foundation, with time spent interacting with the children and providing assistance where needed.
Activities may include teaching, playing games, assisting with the feeding program,
painting and general maintenance. No experience necessary.

Day 6: Maasai Mara
This morning we drive to Maasai Mara, Kenya's - and Africa's - premier game reserve rich with animal life and homeland of the native Maasai people.
This northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem, one of the world’s most rewarding wildlife observation areas, virtually throbs with life. It is Kenya’s premier place of seeing wildlife, and home to a thriving population of predators such as lion and cheetah, as well as hippo, crocodile, zebra, giraffe, elephant, wildebeest and other wildlife that call the Maasai Mara home.
You may opt to visit a Maasai village to see a way of life that has survived almost unchanged for generations. Many special events are planned here.

Day 7: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Today you will be spent another day in this wonderful reserve, with morning and afternoon game viewing. You may wish to drift over the magnificent plains of the Maasai Mara in a hot air balloon (additional cost).
And finally the pinnacle of our stay – an optional bush cocktail party deep in the heart of the Mara at sunset.

Day 8: Maasai Mara National Reserve / Nairobi / Departure
After a morning game drive and breakfast at the camp, we drive to Nairobi for lunch. Later transfer to the airport for your homeward flight, or extend your stay with a few days of relaxation on the East African Coast. Option to fly available at additional cost.
Day 9: Arrive North America
Arrive home today, your mind and heart filled with many treasured sights and moments from exotic Kenya.
