Day 1:  U.S.A

Leave U.S for overnight transatlantic flight to Europe (London or Amsterdam)

Day 2: Arrive Nairobi

Evening arrival in Nairobi, Kenya's vibrant capital. Upon arrival you will be met by your SAS safari guide who will accompany you throughout your safari and escort you to your city Hotel.  Safari Park Hotel

Day 3: City sightseeing- Nairobi

After breakfast this morning, we take full–day tour of the stunning Nairobi, an elevated treetop aerie where we may hand feed rare Rothschild giraffe, quite literally face-to-face. Here a resident expert also presents a private briefing on the centre work to save the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. Our sight – seeing also includes the home of Danish writer Karen von Blixen, who as Isak Dinesen wrote of Out of Africa. Lunch is at your own today.

Tonight we dine at Carnivore restaurant famous for its succulent steaks and game meat.

Day 4: Treetop lodge

This morning we drive to the north through lush tea and coffee estate to mountain lodge.

Mt. Kenya National Park, a wonderland of dense forests, tumbling waterfalls and abundant wildlife. Arrive at your lodge, the only “tree-hotel” ever to be built on the slopes of legendary Mt. Kenya. From specially built viewpoints you may watch the animals arriving at the floodlit waterhole and saltlicks throughout the evening and night.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru

After breakfast this morning, we journey overland into Rift Valley with its stunning landscapes. Arriving at our lodge in time for luncheon. Afternoon bird watching around Lake Nakuru, seasonal home to million of flamingos and multitude of others birdlife this has been described as the greatest ornithological spectacle on earth. The park is one of the best places in East Africa to see endangered rare black rhino alongside its white rhino cousin. A part from the dazzling birdlife around the lake, Lake Nakuru is famed for its leopards, lion and Buffalo which can be tracked down in the acacia forests.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru/Maasai Mara

This morning we drive to Maasai Mara, Kenya's - and Africa's - premier game reserve rich with animal life and homeland of the native Maasai people. . On our way to Mara, we’ll stop along the way for a visit to a local Maasai school (Masantare primary school) founded by the local community and fully supported by Sirinket Adventure Safari. We’ll gain enlightening insight into how tribal practices affect the life of girls and women on this memorable visit.

This northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem, one of the world’s most rewarding wildlife observation areas, virtually throbs with life. It is Kenya’s premier place of seeing wildlife, and home to a thriving population of predators such as lion and cheetah, as well as hippo, crocodile, zebra, giraffe, elephant, wildebeest and other wildlife that call the Maasai Mara home.

You have the option to visit a Maasai village (additional cost) to see a way of life that has survived almost unchanged for generations. Many special events are planned here.

Day 7: Masai Mara

Today we get a closer look at the Mara during two extension game runs daily.

When not out game viewing options abound at Maasai Mara. Choose to go on morning game drive or take an optional bush walk with an expert naturalist guide, or you may wish  to soar over the bush in an optional hot – air balloon, seeing the world of the Mara as enormous herds of grazing animals ------- predators hide among the acacia trees – black manned lion and cheetah.

When not in the bush, we can enjoy the activities and amenities of our luxury tented camp, including a spa and swimming pool, cultural talks, and Maasai dance performances.

And finally the pinnacle of our stay – an optional bush cocktail party deep in the heart of the Mara at sunset.

Day 8: Mara/Nairobi/Return to U.S or Extension

This morning's pre-breakfast game drive is your final opportunity to bask in the unmatched grandeur of the African safari before we drive back to Nairobi for lunch. A dayroom has been reserved at our city Hotel for our comforts while we enjoy a final day to shop or just relax. This evening transfer to the airport to board an international flight. Or you may want to extend your stay with a few days of relaxation on the East African Coast (Optional Extension). Option to fly available at additional cost.

Day 9: Arrive North America

Arrive home today, your mind and heart filled with many treasured sights and moments from exotic Kenya.

What to expect:
As this is an over land trip, a considerable amount of time is spend riding in safari minibus over rough roads, and the schedule is strenuous. Participants should be physically fit.
